The next few days are going to be really busy! You probably don’t want to be (or need to be) reminded of that. In all of the busyness it can end up being really easy to forget what Christians understand to be the true meaning of the Christmas season. If you aren’t a Christian you might miss the meaning of Christmas altogether. Whether you have some faith, no faith, strong faith or weak faith, we have something for everyone at PRBC.
So, why not try Church this Christmas?
Our Christingle Service is suitable for all ages – especially young people. We’ll be gathered for about an hour and we’ll be serving Coffee afterwards. As if that isn’t already good enough, you could come along to our Carols by Candlelight service. This is one of our favourite services of the year, with a big band and a set list full of familiar Christmas carols and hymns. We have warm mince pies and coffee afterwards – if you aren’t in the Christmas spirit on Sunday at 6:30pm when you come in through the door, you will be by 8pm when you leave!
Finally, we gather to celebrate the arrival of Jesus into humanity on Christmas Day. The saviour of the world, born in a stable, left behind his place of privilege in heaven to walk amongst the people he loved to the point of giving his life for them. As Christians, our faith is based around the resurrection celebrated at Easter, but without Christmas first, the rest of the story wouldn’t be possible.
Whether we see you or not, it is our hope and prayer that you have a great and blessed Christmas.
